We started our day off with a trip to see the Martyr's Shrine. It is reminiscent of Chiang Kai Shek square with its immaculate upkeep, large stone architecture, and brilliant red contrast decorations. While we were their we walked around the inside and entered rooms that are dedicated to martyrs who have died throughout history while serving Taiwan.

While we were there we also had the pleasure of observing the changing of the guard.

We also made a quick stop at the Grand Hotel, a once world class hotel that has since dropped a bit in international popularity.

Eating!
Don't ask me what this place was called because there wasn't a lot of English there

As is typical in Melody-Jordan tourism, a large part of our money, time and photography is usually devoted to our food adventures. Today is no exception, when we went to a famous food chain, known as Formosa Chang. They have apparently been around for nearly 50 years and even have a website with prices on it. Such level of marketing is strangely seen in such a traditional food-stall type of restaurant but it seems to make a difference, because this chain has been very successful.

Eating!
Pork type dish and amazing creamy corn soup
And as if that wasn't enough food yet (it was really only a late lunch really), we went to a hotpot and grill type restaurant for dinner. What a way to eat on our last day in Taiwan!
